A brief note:
In 2006, I retired from a multifaceted career which revolved around the physical sciences. I had worked for the defense industry at Tracor in Austin, Texas, in the early 1970's. This was followed for a time working in nuclear medicines at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. I then started an electronic-based business in Abilene, Texas, and also worked for the State of Texas, operating and maintaining electronic equipment. In 1985, I began teaching physics, which continued until my retirement two years ago.
I have done freelance writing and photography in addition to the above, with an emphasis on nature topics. I have published images and articles in several magazines, including two cover photographs for Texas Parks and Wildlife magazine.
